Travel insurance
Arctic Bus Lofoten advise everyone to ensure good insurance before a trip in the event of cancellation, illness, accident, baggage, travel liability and legal aid. We offer our customers insurance policies in cooperation with European.
IceHotel and Lofoten - 5 days in winter
Day 1
Arrival by air or train to Kiruna, Sweden.
Transfer by bus to IceHotel (30/20 minutes).
Check-in at IceHotel, “warm” or “cold” accommodation.
Day 2
IceHotel offers many exciting activities (should be ordered in advance):
Guided tour of IceHotel.
Sled safaris w/dog or reindeer.
Making ice sculptures.
Moose safaris.
Snowmobile safaris.
Ranger Razer safaris.
Meeting with the Sami culture.
Horseback riding.
Saab ice driving.
Walks on foot, on snowshoes or skis.
Meals at a wilderness camp.
Day 3
Bus Tour IceHotel - Svolvær (6 hours).
Possible stop for meals:
State border (after 2 hours).
Narvik (after 3 hours, activities possible).
Polar Zoo (after 3 hours, the world's northernmost zoo).
Tjeldsund (after 4 hours).
Check-in Svolvær, rorbu cabins or hotel.
Day 4
Possible activities in Svolvær on your own or as a group:
Magic Ice (ice sculptures and bar).
North Norwegian Art Center.
Norwegian war memorial museum (world war II).
Gallery Dagfinn Bakke.
Gallery Stig Tobiassen.
Gallery Gunnar Berg.
Lofoten Nature (offers detailed insight into the island’s spectacular nature).
Various boat trips w/RIB (Rubber boat/zodiac safaris. Must be ordered in advance.).
Walks on foot, on snowshoes or skis (with guide must be ordered in advance).
Sea kayaking (With or without guide. Must be ordered in advance).
Organized fishing trip or sightseeing by boat (Must be ordered in advance).
Half-day sightseeing tour of eastern Lofoten (must be ordered in advance):
The fishing village Henningsvær with its many unique and small niche shops and cafes, Gallery Lofotens Hus w/multimedia display, Ocean Sounds research center for marine animals, chandlery, photo exhibition, ceramics and glass production. Organized boat tours w/RIB possible (must be ordered in advance).
Storvågan in Kabelvåg (Lofoten Aquarium, Gallery Espolin and Lofoten Museum).
Day 5
Departure the Lofoten Islands by air or express passenger boat Svolvær - Bodø, or also possible when in Svolvær with the Hurtigruten ship going south or north.
