Let us show you Lofoten!

Lofoten is known for its dramatic scenery and the Lofoten Fishery. But let us show you that there is so much more...

Where to stay

Lofoten is known for the old fishermen's cabins ("rorbuer") that have been restored and turned into modern accommodation for travelers. Also Lofoten offers a wide selection of hotel accommodation. From low budget summer hotels to business and conference hotels.

What to do

Go on a boat trip, visit museums and fishing villages. Taste stockfish and be amazed by the midnight sun or the northern light. But also; find the more hidden treasures! Beaches surrounded by arctic peaks, small galleries and workshops, sculptures and outdoor art, local food producers and cosy restaurants. And if you need more action, we can offer deep sea fishing, kayaking, snorkelling, surfing, hiking, skiing etc...

Getting to

There are daily flights into the airports at Svolvær, Leknes, Værøy and Røst. Groups often choose flights to Harstad / Narvik Airport Evenes and book coach or boat transport on to Lofoten. The Hurtigruten calls at Stamsund and Svolvær every evening. And there are ferry connections from Vesterålen and Bodø.

Autumn and winter in Lofoten

If you want to experience the genuine atmosphere of the many fishing villages, you should visit Lofoten outside of the hectic summer season. The northern light can best be observed Oktober - March. The main Lofoten fishing season (fishing for Skrei) is February - April. In autumn and winter there are several festivals worth a visit as well.
